'This is a story about two different cultures coming together through the wonderland of childhood imagination. A story about the innocence of childhood conviction and how the dogmas of society, have taken away a friendship and a families home.'

This is the teaser trailer for 'Aeron' which is currently in production. Inspired by a true story, I am doing camera op work on it. Due to be completed April 2012.

Feature documentary currently in production, directed and written by Ruben Woodin Dechamps, Balint Revesz and Merredith Colchester. A documentary in which three young filmmakers make a prodigious rite of passage through the locations of their grandmothers’ past, one German, one Hungarian and one English. The grandmothers narrate their own tales of drastically different and extraordinary lives, then meet to discuss social change since the war in order that the younger generation may learn from the past to inhabit a more harmonious future.

On the Somme

Directed by 1968 film group's Peter Bromley, recent winner of the IPA landscape award in New York for his photography of the Somme, this ten year audio visual project is nearing completion. For the film, eight trips over two years have seen us diligently document the landscape in its changing cycles, at a pace which enabled us to reflect on what occured on the routes that we walked.

More men still lie amongst the earth than where ever found, regardless of nationality this film seeks to remember them through the landscape as it lies now.

The Back of Beyond

Immersive dance party meets mexican day of the dead saloon bar, 'The Back of Beyond' was Copperdollar's big top extravaganza for Glastonbury 2011. Met with great response this venue was one of the little jems of Glastonbury, returning the festival to its roots in circus, theatre and the arts. Hats of to director Katie Simpson for pulling together a great crew for three weeks of back breaking work to create something we are all proud of. Alongside helping on the build and filming one of my film contraptions made an appearance.

A Project shot in the Summer at Etyek Studios Budapest. A 12 minute short film by Balint Revesz, created in three shots, 24 hours, a tiny budget and the exterior Manhattan set used in the Hulk and Hellboy. An increible experience which it was a pleasure to DOP for. Trailer on its way. Many thanks to Korad Photography for photos.

The Crooked Circle degree show

'The Crooked Circle' was my final degree project for my BA in Performance and Visual Art (Theatre). Developed over a year this project twisted and turned developing into something quite unexpected. Currently in storgae I am looking for other places to exhibit. Thankyou to everyone who made this possible.

The project won two awards; Burt Brill and Cardens Award for Artistic Ahievement and the Seoul University Arts Award

Beuys/ Block/ Film 1
A film I edited for Peter Bromley on artist Joseph Beuys gets a screening at the Festival International du Court Metrage in Clermont- Ferrand France. A short based on a work at the Krefeld Museum in Dusseldorf Germany. Due for relase later 2011.

The Fencers
A short I did DOP work on for director Peter Bromley. Shot in Brighton and London it offers an insight into the contemporary British fencing scene. Recently screened at the De Lane Lea in Soho, it recieved a warm welcome and possible interest for development.

And

Directed by Peter with me on camera this film looks at the work of artist Neil Ferguson. Currently in post production this film was commissioned by Fondazione Baruchello, Rome and the London Metropolitan University.

The Crooked Circle short films

Here are two experimental silent shorts I made during my last year at university. Both are inspired by the silent films of 1930s Weimar Cinema, Metropolis and Russian Modernist films such as Man With A Movie Camera.

Film 1 was created using recycled 16mm footage I shot for my final project. It was scored by Rebecca Davies.

This film was inspired by Adrian, researcher on The Somme Project's tales of teaching methods in a Nunnery. Sound design by Andrew Law.

In the distant places

In development this piece was setup for the SQ Gallery event in Brighton on the 22/3/11. Using found 16mm footage it worked with two short loops going through the same projector, one for sound and one for the image.
